What owners report
On XXX at ~3:00 p.m., I was driving my 2025 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 High Country (VIN [XXX]) in stop-and-go highway traffic with Super Cruise engaged. The vehicle ahead was a truck towing a low, empty flatbed trailer.
This weekend while traveling on I95N I got into a wreck with automatic cruise control on. I had been in stop and go traffic for about 20 minutes and was following behind a Gatormade hauling trailer for well over a mile with no issues.
Vehicle came to abrupt stop with no warning and no reason. There was not a vehicle in front of me, nor behind me when this occurred. If there had been a vehicle coming behind me there would have been a collision.
I suspect the automatic emergency braking suddenly activated while backing into my driveway. The truck abruptly stopped as if i crashed into something.
While using the adaptive cruise on the highway the truck will rapidly slow down as is there is something in it path even though nothing is there.
The left front turn signal becomes inoperable at times. The foreword collision indicator warning will come on unprovoked at times. Both conditions correct when you cycle the ignition switch.
