What owners report
The contact owns a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact was driving at approximately 35 MPH, and the steering wheel was difficult to maneuver, causing the vehicle to veer off the road and crash into a tree and a steep ditch, where it came to a stop.
While driving my truck on [XXX] , steering locks up, unable to turn the steering wheel. Crashes into guard rail going approximately 57mph, thankfully no other vehicle involved in this matter.
My truck lost steering as I was trying to pull into a parking lot. It started as a momentary jerking of the steering wheel then total loss of steering. The ABS error and Trailer Braking failure warning also appeared.
Vehicle lost power assist to steering without warning.Very difficult to drive vehicle safely once that happened
When driving normally OR pulling a camper (same day), power steering seems to "stick" as I exit either a moderate RH or LH corner.
