What owners report
Drove car at reasonable low speeds (30-40mph) parked vehicle and noticed smell of something burning and light smoke. Opened hood and car was on fire. No mods, completely stock, low mileage. All services up to date. No reasonable explanation for sudden fire
To start, on [XXX], I was going through an intersection on a country road and my automatic emergency braking engaged for no reason. My car stopped despite no other vehicle or object being in my way or anywhere close to me.
I am reporting a severe, recurring safety hazard on my 2020 Toyota Corolla. The vehicle suddenly displays 'Drive-Start Control Malfunction' and completely cuts off engine power in motion, leaving the car stranded in active traffic.
What component or system failed or malfunctioned: complete slave cylinder failure resulting in loss of braking and ability to shift.
"Engine maintenance required" light is coming up constantly, only when i turn on the AC and doesn't let me view my dash at all. Ive determined it's the Engine coolant bypass valve.
My Engine Maintenance light came on around 59,400 miles for my Coolest Control valve !! Needed it to be replaced! Light won’t go off just had it serviced for an oil change before this started!!
