The contact owns a 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the message "Engine Maintenance Required" was displayed on the instrument panel.
I received the engine maintenance required notification on 7/11. On 7/13, I called my Toyota to make an appt to bring it in at 9 AM.
While stopped at a red light, the auto stop/start system shut the engine off and it failed to restart automatically. The dashboard showed "Low Power Steering" and "Engine Stopped - Press Brake Firmly to Restart." Pressing the brake did not work.
