The contact owns a 2024 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the automatic emergency braking system had malfunctioned and the vehicle did not stop when needed.
The forward-facing camera module and related Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), including Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Keep Assist. The system has failed repeatedly, with the camera replaced three previous times.
Cruise control activates at speeds between 1-5mph, which frequently happens while turning, parking, or going through a drive-through.
Current Unsafe Conditions: Post-Replacement Active Safety Failures. The vehicle presently exhibits two distinct categories of active, ongoing, and dangerous safety failures, both of which were introduced as a direct result of the engine replacement performed…
For the past 6 months I’ve had issues with my crash avoidance system, steer assist and lane departure warning. The crash indicator light would illuminate on my dash for no apparent reason.
Upper front grill trim piece was repaired under recall. After being fixed I was driving and it broke off flying up in the air and behind the truck. It did not hit another vehicle. Adaptive cruise control stopped working. Lane assist stopped working.
