オーナーの報告
I was driving approximately 25-30 mph coming over an overpass moving into the right hand lane when my truck right front end failed. The steering and brakes locked up for approximately 50’ until I hit the curb for the sidewalk and stopped.
I have a 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 that I bought new in Oct of 2018 and it now has 15,756 miles on it and was still like new at the time of failure.
Power steering went out for 2-3 seconds as I was making a turn into a street , this happened twice to be exact
A known problem with these trucks is ground strap failure. I was driving and all the sudden lost power steering which almost caused an accident.
Loss of steering, erratic steering control. Steering locks up
While driving 13-15mph down the road the front right upper control arm ball bearing sheared off causing the tire to lean in rubbing the wheel well, forcing my truck to veer to the left across the other lane of traffic. Luckily there wasn't any car next to me.
