I am reporting a serious safety incident involving the powered rear liftgate of my 2026 Nissan Rogue Platinum. On Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at approximately 9 AM, I was helping my daughter unload her cosmetology case at the Sherman Oaks Galleria.
I was driving down the highway and my ac vents started blowing hot air, then my car started to putt like it wanted to stop, then thick smoke started coming out my AC vents filling my car to the point I could not see.
The mirror adjustment knob is broken.this is a very common problem reported by thousands of nissan rouge owners from model starting 2024. The company does not provide just the knob and wants us to buy the complete unit which costs close to $1000.

On 9/29/2026, my 2025 Nissan Rogue was parked in the parking garage at my workplace. When I left for the day and arrived at my vehicle, I noticed shattered glass on the ground behind it.
Went out to grab something for the Rogue and noticed the rear windshield was blown out from the inside. Glass was all over outside of the vehicle. The vehicle sat overnight and had not been used for 10 hours before it was seen.
