Hi I'm very disappointed because my 2018 Acura MDX got stolen on 8/11/25.. Unbelievable because got stolen from my driveway and i had a keys ..also it was super quick because my neighbors camera recorded the moment..
Engine compartment started emitting smoke and hot air coming out of the vents instead of cold air while driving. Smoke partially obstructed my view. I had to stop on the side and look where smoke is coming from.
The engine shut off at a red light via Auto-Stop and failed to restart, leaving the vehicle stranded in active rush hour traffic until a manual restart of the engine was performed. This issue has occurred multiple times now.
My 2025 Acura MDX has 21,000+ miles on it and the START STOP SYSTEM has stalled and failed to restart the engine at RED LIGHTS several times. This is a SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN! Does Honda/Acura have a Technical Service Bulletin for this issue?
