I am filing a safety defect complaint regarding a 2026 Dodge Charger Daytona (400V electric vehicle platform) that suffered a catastrophic high-voltage system shutdown at approximately 1,261 miles.
The 2019 Dodge Charger, a police vehicle, was enroute to a crash scene when it caught fire. The fire appears to have originated in the engine compartment near the fire wall.
While driving car a message appears on dash that says park safely, vehicle will shut down soon. The car stoppedin the middle of traffis almost immediately after message appeared with no time to pull over or park. If I was on highway I could have been killed.
My 2023 Dodge Charger SXT with approximately 26,000 miles has experienced multiple incidents where, while turning into traffic or accelerating from a stop, the vehicle loses the ability to continue driving and displays a message instructing me to shift into…
The vehicle has experienced repeated failures associated with diagnostic trouble code P06DD. When the condition occurs, the vehicle is unable to exceed approximately 3,500 RPM and experiences engine stalling and loss of power while driving.
While traveling at 75MPH on the highway, the vehicle shut down. No propulsion at all and the error message "Pull Over Safely - Vehicle Will Shut Off Soon" was displayed. Was able to coast to a nearby exit and have the car taken to a dealer for service.
