The contact owns a 2023 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, smoke started coming from underneath the front driver’s side seat.

My son had an accident where he re-ended another car that caused damage to the front of his car. The AirBags did not deploy in his car; and I beleive they should have with the amount of damage that the car sustained.

Starting in the middle of July my 2018 Accord began showing a "Supplemental Restraint System Problem. See Your Dealer." message. Upon dealer(Ed Martin Honda) inspection it was found that the passenger seat airbag sensor was faulty and needed replaced.

On June 24th, 2026, I received a warning for "Supplemental Restraint System Problem". The airbag Dash indicator illuminated on the dash. The issue is intermittent and the warning has appeared on five separate occasions since.

The front seat belt pretensioners may be missing the rivet that secures the quick connector and wire plate. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 208, "Occupant Crash Protection," 209, "Seat Belt Assembles," and 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."

A manufacturing issue with the front seat belts may cause the seat belt buckle channel to interfere with the release button, preventing the seat belt buckle from latching.

As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."

対策: Dealers will replace the second-row center seat belt assembly, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 14, 2022. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138.
