At approximately 12:10 p.m. on October 5, 2026, we had just washed the Expedition and I was going to move it over to put it in the middle bay of the garage that is attached to the house.

During 2025/early 2026 the chrome peeled up around the center console. We carefully folded it back down, thinking it was just tape. I was cut twice across finger tips during this time. Then we got the recall notice from Ford in June 2026.

The cup holder console has fallen in on my 2019 Ford Expedition along with thousands of others who have the same cup holders. The chrome peeling has peeled around it and is very sharp.
