On 4/09/26, while visiting friends near the border in [XXX] from [XXX] and driving on a dry paved road we lost the ability to stop the truck and engage the brake system. To avoid a crash, I drove the truck up onto the sidewalk and closed my eyes.

I had the 6.2 engine replaced at 38k miles. Now at 78k miles my new engine replacement is using 1.5qrt of oil within 4k miles. I am being told i have to watch the oil every 800 miles and report back to Chevrolet.

The connecting rod and/or crankshaft engine components may have manufacturing defects that can lead to engine damage and engine failure.
위험: Engine failure increases the risk of a crash.
조치: Dealers will inspect the engine, and as necessary, repair or replace the engine. For vehicles that pass inspection, dealers will add higher viscosity oil, install 6 oil fill cap, replace the oil filter, and update the owner's manual. Repairs will be performed free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 18, 2025. The electronic brake control module software may fail to display a warning light when a loss of brake fluid occurs. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Vehicle Safety Standard number 135, "Light Vehicle Brake Systems."

The daytime running lights (DRLs) may not deactivate when the headlights are on.
