The contact owned a 2023 Ford F150. The contact stated that while his wife was driving at 70 MPH, the driver's side wheel and axle detached, the driver lost control, and she crashed into the guard rail. There were no warning lights illuminated.

275/50 R22 I was driving on a major interstate approximately 65 mph when a strong vibration was felt. As I started to move to the shoulder and slow down, the tread detached from the tire.
Tire/wheel was losing air, upon investigation I discovered a cracked rim, which is my second in 8 months. Upon looking online, I see that ford is attributing this issue to aggressive stiff-wall offroad tires.
In January I brought my truck into ford to get service on the recall 23S65. Since then the recall has broke and I cannot and haven’t been able to drive my truck since then. It has been at Statesboro ford since then sitting waiting on parts.
I heard noise coming from my truck, sounded like it was in my wheel. Feb. 4, 2026 I took it to a repair shop. They told me it was the recall on my truck and gave the nut and bolt that had broken off my truck.
