What owners report
I have a 2023 Mach e premium on lease. I drive using single pedal mode. Three days ago I pulled into a parking spot in front of a restaurant in a plaza.
Car was stopped at the top of a hill. Driver put the car in park and exited to talk to a security guard to raise a security barrier. Car began to roll down a hill and didn't stop until it hit a metal security gate 250 yards away.
Bought car in March 2026. Twice while driving car in heavy traffic on highway using BlueCruise car slowed down on its own and warning message read "vehicle is stopping" (this happened first in early July and again in mid-August).
I am reporting a recurring safety defect involving my 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E Premium. The defect appears to involve the high-voltage battery system, powertrain system, and High Voltage Battery Junction Box (HVBJB).
1) The high voltage junction box failed causing the vehicle to abruptly stall on a public road. The part will be available for inspection through contacting a local dealership. 2) The vehicle completely stalled at night in the middle of a 6 lane intersection.
The high voltage battery junction box connector has failed. There have been two recalls one software and one to replace this part the high voltage battery junction box with a more robust part to handle thermal loads.
