On 7/25/25, I was rear-ended while driving my 2018 Lexus ES 300h with my child in the front seat. Despite the force of impact and resulting injuries, none of the airbags deployed.

Driver side airbag cover is open. Previously reported, dealer states that it was open due to dashcam wiring being placed and cover not being closed completely. Dealer closed the cover completely. Today, the cover is open again.

A short circuit may develop in the Occupant Classification System (OCS) sensor, preventing the front passenger air bag from deploying.
处置: Dealers will inspect and replace the sensor as necessary, free of charge. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed in February 2024.
