Component/System: Engine. The vehicle was destroyed by fire but the remains are available for inspection depending on insurance/salvage status.
My Audi SUV hybrid hatchback opens and closes using a "foot assist" motion detection system. I believe other car manufacturers offer similar systems on some of their SUVs. The hatchback often opens and closes without me intending it to.
After one year of use, the car seat developed a sudden defect. An internal rod slid out of place, protruding from the side of the car seat by about an inch.
On August 11th, 2026 right before noon, the sunroof on my Audi Q5 (hybrid, 2021 model) exploded without warning. Luckily noone was hurt but the explosion alone was enough to distract someone to run off the road.
