Basic driving morning of 7/26/23, no recent vehicle issues, suddenly the car dash lights lit up, steering became stiff, car coasted to a stop, fire erupted inside the engine bay and spread to most of the car. The vehicle was taken by the insurance company.
I was driving down a road going 55mph. I heard a loud bang like a gunshot. I looked up and my sunroof exploded. The glass was coming in the car. I have glass slivers cuts to my hand, legs and arm.
On XXX at approximately 8:45 am , at the Life Time parking lot, [XXX] the registered owner of the vehicle was slowly pulling the 2025 Mercedes Benz GLE 450 e into a parking space and was actively applying the brake as she entered the space.
Digital Instrument cluster screen has gone black 3 times since October 2025 making it impossible to see speed or other important driving safety information. Black out happened in October 2025, March 2026, and again on July 9, 2026.
The a/c unit failed and is available for inspection upon request. Being in an over-heated car can cause dehydration, heat exhaustion and/or heat stroke. I was nauseous and dizzy while driving, putting myself and my passengers at risk.
We were driving on Interstate 4 in Orlando and our sunroof exploded at 80 MPH
