What owners report
I was driving on the highway with my husband and our dog when out of nowhere the panoramic sunroof exploded. We were traveling home and could have been in an accident when it occurred because it sounded like a gunshot hit the car.
I was driving and heard a loud popping sound and there was glass everywhere and my part of my sunroof was blown out. I think it was what they can an exploding sunroof.
About a month ago, July 2026, i started to notice shaking bumping when car shifted out of first gear. Brought to local garage and they said needs new transmission.
Vehicle Information Year: 2024 Make: Ford Model: Edge VIN: [XXX] Description of the Safety Issue I am submitting this complaint regarding the unexpected failure of the panoramic glass roof on my 2024 Ford Edge.
Transmission has gone out after only having the vehicle for 2.5 years. It will cost $10,000 to repair and that is not feasible or right. The mileage is at 74,000 but the warranty expired at 60,000.
The motorized track assembly separated from the moonroof interior sunshade on my 2022 Ford Edge, leaving the sunshade drooping down in the passenger compartment.
