I was at my workplace’s parking garage today and was attempting to park my 2019 Honda HR-V. While I was slowly attempting to park, the vehicle suddenly accelerated without my intention, and the brakes became unresponsive.

About 3 hours into a 4 hour drive (while the car was only months old, with just 1800 miles), the sound switched from playing the radio at a normal volume to suddenly extraordinarily loud crackle, static, popping noises.

The contact owns a 2018 Honda HR-V. The contact stated that the LCD display was intermittently distorted or inoperable at startup and while driving, preventing the driver from monitoring the safety features, including the fuel gauge.

Vehicle began making loud chainsaw noise. Took to original location of purchase (Nissan Dealer - bought as used at 42k, no issues), was told that alternator, drive belt and tensioner were needing replacement as that was the location of noise.

When I started the vehicle ，LCD screen inside instrument cluster does not read cannot get fuel amount or mileage. It goes normal after driving 40 minutes.It happens every time since 9/20/2026

The vehicle dash cluster flickers and goes completely out. When this happens you can not see the mileage or how much fuel you have. This is a known problem and even my local dealer has seen a few and Honda will not stand behind the problem.

As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."
対策: Dealers will update the display audio unit software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 8, 2024. Owners may contact Honda service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are TIQ and DIR. Vehicles previously repaired under recall 23V-046 will need to have the new remedy completed.
