What owners report
I own a 2020 Mercedes-Benz C300 equipped with a power trunk. On July 22, 2026, I took my vehicle to Annapolis Mercedes-Benz because the power trunk was repeatedly closing on its own while people were standing in the trunk opening.
While driving on the highway with the panoramic sunroof open, the glass suddenly shattered, sounding like a gunshot or an explosion. Shards of glass flew into the vehicle and rained down on me, creating a very hazardous driving situation.
The vehicle exhibits an intermittent, severe electronic-hydraulic transmission control defect where it completely rejects gear shifts from Park (P) to Drive (D), or forcefully defaults back into Park upon operation.
My vehicle developed a coolant warning during normal road use. I had not experienced any known collision, crash, or unusual impact. I brought the vehicle to an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer for inspection.
The factory infotainment system (Mercedes NTG 5.5 head unit) displays Android Auto incorrectly. Instead of using the full width of the center display, Android Auto is cropped into a reduced window on the right side of the screen.
