What owners report
Was driving at night going around a curve when the car jerked left sending vehicle into a spin. Hit bridge guard rail and car is a total loss. Toyota has a known issue with this LDA system in this condition.
The contact owned a 2025 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle was rear-ended, causing a chain reaction crash. The steering wheel became dislodged, and the steering wheel air bag failed to deploy.
Tsb-0028-22 - car diagnosed at dealership with issue stated within the service bulletin and as noted in the civil action suit. However, specific vin is not included in the covered list by manufacturer.
Message on dashboard stating electric power steering malfunction see dealer. Brought vehicle to dealership they said we need a new steering rack steering is tight at times
I received the warning "Power Steering Malfunction - Steering Power Low - Visit your Dealer". At this time the car pre-collition warning, power steering, lane-change-warning, all stopped working.
On August 15, the car with 55611 miles the car gave the error Power Steering malfunction. Steering power low. Also lights indicating cruise control, lane departure and collision warnings have been disabled.
